Building upon last years success, the Ramsgate International Film & TV Festival returns for 2018. Featuring over 50 films showcasing some of the best indie cinema from all continents and special screenings of local films, this years festival is not to be missed.
The Wheels and Fins International Film Festival has independent filmmaking and action sports at its heart. Whether it be adrenaline fuelled action, inspiring documentaries or captivating drama, this short film festival had it all.
Taking place on Saturday 19th August at the beautiful Palace Cinema in Broadstairs, a truly independent cinema run by Simon and Corinna Downing, the festival featured entries from 13 countries spanning 5 different continents. With such a wealth of local and international filmmaking talent on offer, it made sure that the first ever Wheels and Fins International Film Festival inspired, excited and entertained. Kent’s first ever Wheels and Fins International Film Festival is all set to announce the inaugural Official Selection to be screened at the Palace Cinema in Broadstairs on August 19th.
Kent’s premiere surfing destination Joss Bay has hosted the Wheels and Fins Festival on it’s beaches for many years, this year for the first time (on top of action sports surf, music and soapbox racing) is a unique film festival.
The 2017 Sundance Film Festival: London returned to the West End this year to the beautiful Picturehouse Central. Taking place from the 1st-4th June, Sundance: London aims to showcase some of the best that American Independent Cinema had to offer from the Festival in Utah earlier this year. Continue reading
